Westbound traffic on U.S. Route 36 in Macon County will face a lane restriction for shoulder work from Oct. 5 through Oct. 9, according to the Missouri Department of Transportation.
MoDOT's Northeast District listed the work in its planned-roadwork release for Sept. 28 through Oct. 9, published Friday. The restriction will run from Long Branch Lake Road to Route C between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day of that window, according to the release.
The shoulder project is separate from continuing bridge maintenance and expected delays at the U.S. 63 and U.S. 36 interchange in Macon County, work the Chronicle has already covered. The westbound shoulder restriction is a separate schedule from that interchange work.
The same Northeast planned-roadwork list also named projects in Audrain, Clark, and Montgomery counties. Those jobs are outside the Chronicle's Macon County coverage area.
