McKendree beat Truman State 4-1 in women's soccer Saturday at Leemon Field in a Great Lakes Valley Conference match.
Lyla Karolczak, of McKendree, scored at 10:47 on an assist from Maddie Mauch, of McKendree. Julia Behounek, of Truman State, tied it at 12:01. Zoe Cormier, of McKendree, scored at 49:54 on an assist from Karolczak, of McKendree. Mauch, of McKendree, scored at 57:16 on an assist from Aubrey Andrews, of McKendree. Andrews, of McKendree, scored at 63:16 on an assist from Karolczak, of McKendree.
McKendree outshot Truman State 16-7 and put nine shots on goal to five. Mikayla Thomas, of Truman State, played all 90 minutes and made five saves. Alyse Day, of McKendree, played all 90 minutes and made four saves. McKendree had five corner kicks to Truman State's three.
A team yellow card went to Truman State at 65:57.
Attendance was 300.
