The Macon Chronicle has drawn 41,700 visitors since it began publishing in April, according to Chariton Media site analytics.

Those readers accounted for 47,100 visits and 55,300 page views, the analytics show. In the past seven days alone, the Chronicle served 2,760 visitors on 3,150 visits and 3,730 page views.

Macon County has about 15,000 residents. The city of Macon has 5,546, according to figures Chariton Media used for the comparison.

Across Chariton Media's newspapers and wire service, the company has tallied 46,300 visitors, 54,100 visits and 66,800 page views. Readers have also saved 3,176 quarters in the Chariton Arcade, the company said.
