Atlanta beat Green City 14-13 in varsity softball Monday.
Atlanta scored one run in each of the second, third, and fourth innings, two in the sixth, and nine in the seventh. Green City scored one run in the third, two in the fourth, three in the sixth, and seven in the seventh.
Atlanta's line was 0-1-1-1-0-2-9, with 14 runs, 10 hits, and four errors. Green City's line was 0-0-1-2-0-3-7, with 13 runs, 16 hits, and six errors.
Atlanta entered the game 4-2 and moved to 5-2.
M. Jeffries, of Green City, had three hits and drove in three runs. Jeffries pitched six innings, allowed eight earned runs, and struck out 11.
