Several Macon County Roads Remain Closed Due to Flooding

Multiple roads in Macon County and across the Northeast Missouri region remain closed due to flooding, according to the Missouri Department of Transportation. Motorists are urged to check conditions before traveling.

In Macon County, several routes are closed as of Thursday evening:

Route J is closed between Jasmine Avenue and U.S. 63.
Route J is closed at Mussel Fork, between MO 129 at New Boston in Linn County and Anvil Street in Macon County.
Route DD is closed at Middle Fork Salt River, between Lynx Avenue and Melody Avenue near Macon.
Route PP is closed at Middle Fork Salt River, between Lacquer Avenue and Noble Road.

Two Macon County routes have reopened: MO 156 is now open west of La Plata between Hilton Avenue and Hastings Street, and Route HH is now open at Rock Creek between Flat Iron Street and Emerald Street.

In surrounding counties, additional closures are in effect:
Adair County: MO 11 is closed at Steer Creek between Steer Creek Way and Four Hills Way. MO 149 remains closed at Billy Creek between MO 6 and Dupree Trail, south of MO 6 at Hog Creek between Cleveland Trail and Billy Creek Trail, and at Little Walnut Creek between Sycamore Trail and Nind Trail. Route E is closed at Bear Creek between Banner Lane and White Deer Lane. MO 149 has reopened at Shuteye Creek north of Novinger.

Knox County: Route K is closed between the north and south intersections of Routes K and V. MO 151 remains closed between MO 156 in Knox County and Route M in Shelby County. Several Knox County routes have reopened, including MO 11, MO 15, MO 156, Route F, and Route BB.

Shelby County: Multiple routes remain closed, including MO 151 at Hagers Grove, Routes K, M, N, T, W, and DD. Route J has reopened between MO 15 and Route W. Eastbound U.S. 36 has reopened approximately 3.5 miles east of MO 151 near Clarence.

Monroe County: Route A is closed at Crooked Creek and Route J is closed at Duncan’s Bridge. Route FF has reopened between Route CC/PP and Route V.
